Myspace Countdowns, Valentine's Day Countdowns at WishAFriend.com

It appears that several of our classmates and a teacher recently had a reunion as evidenced by the video posted at THE BROADCASTER.  Who knew ?  (Hint:  Be patient for the video to load.  It's the first one. And, while you're there, why not scroll to the bottom of the page ?)

Snagged from Ellen Davidson Trantham's Facebook Wall:

PTL, Todd is cancer free, but will need treatments.

Dear Mr. George Jones,

Please accept our sincerest apologies for what has happened to your song "She Thinks I Still Care."  It seems as though Jimboreeheehee has been at it again over at "This Just In."  At least he hasn't butchered anything by Ms. Tammy Wynette . . .yet.

Even though it may appear that very few people are visiting here, our site meter just topped 30,040 this week.  Seems as though lots of people read, they are just very quiet.

If seeing these photos brings back memories for you, remember that all our yearbooks are posted at Buffalo Trails.  Any of those pages can be copied and printed.

On the Classmate Profiles Page, if your name does not have a little gold star by it, your profile has not been updated in over SIX months.
How long has it been since you read your own profile ?  Go check it out, then click on "Edit Profile" and/or "Edit/Upload Photos" under the MEMBER FUNCTIONS link on the left side bar.

Jimboreehee posted this newspaper clipping at Message Forum.  Just the kind of memorabilia that should bring a smile to your face, or maybe just a little giggle !  There are hundreds of these gems out there.  Here is a challenge for everyone out there:  In the next few weeks, see if you can come up with more smiles and giggles to share !

WHO ZAT ?  Does anyone recognize this cute little puppy dog ?  He is the owner of one of our classmates and just recently had surgery.  If you have any clues or guesses, post them at Message Forum.

WHO ZAT ?  Our classmate is on the left.  Big brother on the right.

The following is a comment left on the blog, Quite Continental, by Candace Cannon.

So many of the pictures are of my grandfather, aunt and mother. My mother Betty Jean Pratt Cannon died 7/5/11. She was a beautiful lady as was her sister Rita Jo Pratt Lathrop, who died two years ago. Vernon Pratt was there father and in several of your photos. I was very young when he had his circus but still remember… I have several of these photos but so many are new to me. Thanks so much for honoring them in this way. Candace Cannon

and Jeanean Cannon Weaver:

These are such wonderful photographs of my family and the wonderful life they shared making people of all ages laugh and smlle. What a fantastic tribute. Thank you for posting the article and photos. is there any way that I could get some of the originals?
These are of my grandparents, my aunt and mother. I believe there were some of my mother on the trapeze which is now on display at the Frisco Depot in Hugo. I am the youngest daughter and I would treasure some of these photos.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Jeanean Cannon Weaver

Be sure to read the comments following the post.

Thanks to Ronald Popchoke for sending me this link.

Buffalo Chips & Chat Threads/Forums/Topics Info:

FYI:  Many of you still like using Message Forum, WHICH is PERFECTLY OK,  espeically (I never said I could spell)  especially when we are just discussing fishing and whiskey stills, but here are several reasons that posting at BC&C can be more efficient and also why posting on a person's profile works as well or better than at Message Forum especially when the topic is a bit more serious.

1)  You can subscribe to the thread at BC&C so that when someone posts a new topic there, you are notified through your e-mail and can read the message without having to come to the site.

2)  The messages posted there are kept under specific headings and can be found easily.  At the Message Forum, if you want to find a posting, it  requires just scrolling and looking for it.

3)  When you post a public message or send a private e-mail from the person's profile, they are sent a notification that there is a message waiting for them.  If it's posted at Message Forum, there is a chance that person will never see it.

4) Also, most of us have posted addresses on our profiles, and personal notes can be mailed using the old-fashioned more personal way of sending our thoughts by using USPS.

HOW TO add GIF's to your posts at Message Forum and on Profile Comments:

The directions have been added to the Questions/Answers Thread at Buffalo Chips and Chat.

Another Question ??? :  Some are wondering what happens to messages posted at Buffalo Chips & Chat.  For instance, a message posted yesterday may not show up today.  When you click on BC&C, you will see three columns.  Place your cursor on Special Thoughts and Prayers and click on it.  (left hand column)  That will open ALL the messages posted under this Forum, newest at the top.  It will also list the author, how many times it was viewed, and how many replies.  Once you find the Forum you are looking for, click on it.  Messages can be left on any Forum, just be sure to click SAVE.  You can also subscribe to the thread to receive notifications when new messages are posted any where on BC&C.

You will not blow up the site by clicking on things.  And if you do, we can fix it !

The tribute to Jimmie Mae Tims Ware can be found at our In Memory Link.
(Click Here) Thanks to Larry Lee and Terry, Jimmie Mae's brother for providing the service program and photos so that she can be honored on our site.

There is a video of Jimboreeheehee breaking his neck Break Dancin' at The Broadcaster.

Always remember to click SAVE.

You can "subscribe" to the thread by clicking that little circle on the first page of BC&C.  An e-mail will be sent to you when something new is added.

Welcome to the HUGO HIGH SCHOOL CLASS of 1969 web-site. It is a work-in-progress and will be updated on a regular basis. Here are a few reasons that it was created:

 1)  to assist in planning our  reunions  and any Hugo Supper Club events
2)  to locate friends who are hiding from us and let them know about our reunion
3)  to reacquaint ourselves with each other so that we recognize each other
4)  to post photos of reunions and other events for those who could not attend

The web-site and reunion cannot be successful without everyone's participation.

To protect your personal information, your registration includes an option that allows only registered classmates to view your profile. If this option is selected, search engines and the general public WILL be blocked from accessing your information. Any registered classmate who is logged in, however, WILL be able to view ALL classmate profiles.

Class Creator, our site host, assures us that our site will NOT be subject to advertising, that information posted on our site will NOT be sold or rented to a third party--all information is strictly confidential, and that their spam protection system WILL protect us from spam.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to solely, covertly be an integral part of planning a successful 40th reunion.  Your computer will self-destruct in five minutes if you do not add to your profile and sign up to attend.

To those who are just visiting and may be planning a reunion, if you do not have a web-site, may I suggest that you RUN, don't walk, to the Class Creator link at the bottom of this page. This will take you to a step-by-step video that is easy to use. The technical support that you will receive is personal and faster than the speed of lightning. Brad and his crew are there to help you create a tool that will insure a successful reunion.

Sincerely,
Kathy Smith Schmoldt
